Walk your way to health
When Natural England and the British Heart Foundation put their heads together (with a bit of help from the Big Lottery Fund) they came up with Walking the way to Health initiative (WHI). It’s the largest national body of its kind and promotes walking as a great way to stay healthy, to get outside and to meet new people – simply by taking short local walks.
There are a whopping 400 local health walks throughout the country now, so it’s not hard to find one close to you. Their website has a walk finder so it’s even easier, and includes walks all over North Wales – from Harlech to Wrexham.
